Obituary of Dominick F. Feliconio
Dominick F. Feliconio, age 92, of Trumbull passed away peacefully at Bridgeport Hospital on Sunday, August 4, 2024. He was the beloved husband to the late Carolyn (DeVito) Feliconio. Mr. Feliconio was born in Bridgeport on September 29, 1931 and was a son of the late Carlos and Marie (Galletti) Feliconio and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.
Dominick joined the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged while stationed at Fort Dix. He went on to attend the University of Bridgeport where he received his degree in Education and before his retirement, he taught accounting and business classes at Masuk High School in Monroe. As a young man Dom was an active musician and played clarinet and saxophone for the Twarog Brothers Band (a polka band) as well as other local bands. His children looked forward to going with him to town hall greens to listen to the bands he was playing in. He loved to travel extensively with his wife Carolyn especially throughout Europe. He enjoyed fishing, boating, crabbing and gardening while spending long summers on Chincoteague Island, VA. He cherished the memories of the many summers spent with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Corinne Vincent; his son Tom and his wife Cindy; his beloved grandchildren Amy, Dawn and Gary Vincent, Danielle Greene and her husband Greg; Sabrina and Samuel Feliconio; two cherished great grandchildren Lukas and Elliot; and a brother, Robert Feliconio and his wife Ann. He was predeceased by two sons, Gary Feliconio and Greg D. Feliconio.
The family has invited friends and relatives to join them in a celebration of Dom's life on Friday, August 23rd from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Vazzano's Four Seasons, 337 Kenyon St., Stratford, CT 06614. Arrangements are under the direction of Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull, CT.
