Obituary of Michael Carroll, Sr.
Michael Carroll, Sr., age 81, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Friday, August 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at Bridgeport Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Rosemarie (Marsilio) Carroll. Born in Bridgeport on March 27, 1943 he was a son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Jackowiscz) Carroll. A proud veteran of the National Guard, Mr. Carroll later worked as a machinist at the former AVCO and Textron before eventually retiring from Allied Signal with over 35 years of dedicated service. An avid coin and stamp collector, Michael’s greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. He never missed the opportunity to attend and support any of their extracurricular events. From baseball, basketball and soccer to dance recitals, he would travel anywhere necessary to be a part of their cheering section. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Rosemarie of nearly 58 years, other survivors include his loving children, Michael Carroll, Jr. of Brookfield and Lisa Bottino and her husband Ronald of Trumbull, his cherished grandchildren, Brittney, Lindsey, Brandon, Michael III and Brianna, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Maryann Haymes and Dolores Kopis and his brothers, Thomas, John and Richard Carroll.
