Obituary of William Boyd III

William "Bill" Boyd, III, age 67 of Seymour, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Kristen Tolosa Boyd. Born in Bridgeport on July 11, 1957, he was a son of the late William Boyd, Jr. and the late Frances Tartaglia Boyd.

Bill was a truck driver for over 40 years and always worked very hard to take care of his family. He was a die-hard New York Yankees and New York Giants fan and spend many weekends at Yankee Stadium cheering the Yankees on with his kids. He enjoyed family days at the beach, hanging out around the pool, working in the yard or even watching a "John Wayne Western"; anything that could be done while being with his family. He lived for his children, grandchildren, his dogs and the love of his life Kristen. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife Kristen of 34 years, survivors include his children, Stephanie Boyd, Matthew Boyd, Donald Gaughan, and William Boyd IV and his wife Tina Reppas, a sister, Jeanie Poniros, a brother-in-law, Fred Lathrop and four cherished grandchildren, Mataya, Victoria, Michael and William V. as well as many nieces, nephews, and beloved extended family members. He was predeceased by a son, Michael Hopkins and a sister, Janice Lathrop.

Friends may greet the family at a Memorial Gathering on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull with a Prayer Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
