Obituary of Juliet M. Sclafani

Juliet May Sclafani, age 100, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stamford on May 31, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Maltessi Sclafani.

Small in stature but fierce in her devotion to her family and God. A proud member of the greatest generation, Juliet lived mostly independently in her home until her final weeks. Juliet never missed holidays or a chance to spend time with family.

But above all things, her greatest role was that of Mom, Mima, Grama and Gigi. Her smile could light up the room when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were by her side. The unconditional love she gave, and the memories created will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed

A true New York Yankee fan, one of her greatest memories was meeting Joe DiMaggio and having a short conversation with him. But everyone was to beware when watching a game with her when her team was losing! She was an avid reader, enjoyed making Christmas ornaments for all to enjoy and passed the tradition on to her children.

Survivors include her three devoted daughters, Judi Morelli and her husband Joe, Janet Lis and Jill Comerford, five cherished grandchildren, Joseph L. Morelli III and his wife Megan, Matthew Morelli and his wife Jess, Juli Marcks, David Comerford and his wife Marcela and Jonathan Comerford and his wife Brittany, seven adored great grandchildren, Mia, Nick, Patrick, Kylie, Aubree, Isla and Jackson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 10 siblings, Augusta, Nellie, Rose, Lydia, Frances, Rita, Margaret, Lou, Peter and Charles.

Relatives and friends may greet the family at a memorial gathering celebrating Juliet's life on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A prayer service and family remembrances will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2nd at 11:00 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Lordship Road, Stratford, CT. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org. For online condolences, please visit us at www.abriola.com.
