Obituary of Frances M. Lisi

Frances Cavallaro Lisi, age 90, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late George P. Lisi Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Born in Bridgeport on October 6, 1922, she was the daughter of late Nicola Cavallaro and Mary Grace Gulli. In her youth, she proudly served her country stateside as a Navy Wave in World War II. Upon returning she married and raised four children. When her children were older, she took on the exciting venture of owning her own business. Frances showered her family with love and laughter. She will be remembered for her fun-loving sense of humor. Her pastimes included cooking and gambling. In addition to the devotion to her late husband George, her husband of 63 years, survivors include four children, Philip G. Lisi and his wife Christine of Stratford, Diana G. Lisi of Stratford, Mary G. Lisi of Derby and George P. Lisi Jr. and his wife Sueanne of Stratford, a brother Anthony Cavallaro, six grandchildren, Jessica Staley, Michele Lisi and Mike McPadden, Lauren Lisi and Jay Crutchfield, George P. Lisi III, Nicholas Lisi, Jon Lisi and four great-grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by eight brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Lord Chamberlain Rehabilitation center for their support. Frances will be missed. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
