Obituary of Anthony C. Longo

Anthony C. Longo, age 93, of Bridgeport, a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft, died on August 22, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on February 20, 1912, he was a son of the late Antonino and Rose Ferrara Longo. Mr. Longo was a past officer and member of the Trinacria M.A. Society and the Sikorsky Garden Club. He was previously employed by Chance-Vought and was an avid golfer, enjoyed gardening, reading western novels, playing cards and crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Fedorovich Longo, a son, Anthony J. Longo of Bethlehem, a daughter, Deborah Rose Longo of Charlestown, VA, a grandson, Sean Riley, two nephews, Raymond Longo and his wife, Paula of Fairfield and Nick Longo of Huntington, a niece, Audrey Rose Longo of Huntington and six great nieces, two great nephews and six great, great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, John and Carmen Longo and a nephew, Perry Longo. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at 8 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. The Trinacria M. A. Society will conduct a ritual at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home
