Obituary of Maria Teresa Lucia

Maria Teresa Corticelli Lucia, age 70, of Trumbull, died on Monday, March 16, 2009 in St. Vincents Medical Center. She was a retired employee of the Town of Trumbull with years of dedicated service to the Trumbull Visiting Nurses and the Trumbull Public Library. Born in Bologna, Italy on March 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Pietro Corticelli and Iolanda Baldazzi Corticelli. Teresa Lucia came to the United States in 1963 and had resided in Trumbull for 38 years.

Survivors include three devoted daughters, Rita Carralero of Shelton, Elisa Bean and her husband Mark of Plainville, MA and Laura Church and her husband Chris, Major United States Air Force of Springfield, VA. Teresa is also survived by her cherished grandson Matthew Carralero, who is a freshman at UVM, majoring in Bio-Chemistry, she was especially proud when he made the Deans list this past semester. 

Funeral services will take place on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
