Obituary of Ralph Benedetto

Resident of Bridgeport Ralph Benedetto, age 90, beloved husband of Ann Tatangelo Benedetto, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, March 2, 2009 in his home. Born in Bridgeport on October 24, 1918, he was a son of the late Gaetano and Ersilia Benedetto and a U.S. Army veteran. A lifelong city resident, he was a retired employee of AT&T and had formerly worked for Borck & Stevens. A loving family man, he was happiest when his two great granddaughters were with him and when he was working in his yard. In addition to his wife, survivors include his devoted daughter Patricia Pepin of Bridgeport, a sister Nicolena Sabatelli of Southbury, a sister-in-law Mary Benedetto of Trumbull, a grandson, Greg Pepin and his wife Julie and two great granddaughters, Maya and Ana Pepin and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Bartholomew and Bernard Benedetto and a sister Mary Cocco, two brothers-in-law, Domenic Cocco and Daniel Sabatelli. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 6, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:15 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
