Obituary of Joaquim D. Martins

Bridgeport Resident Joaquim D. Martins, age 85, beloved husband of Anna Maria Gomes Martins, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Penelongo, Portugal on April 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Domingos Alves and Maria Martins Jaco Pires. Mr. Martins was a man who lived a simple life and always enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include his six loving children, Domingos Martins and his wife Sao of Shelton, Jose Martins of Bridgeport, Etelvina Moutinho and her husband Matthew of Trumbull, Maria Martins of NY, Fernando Martins and his wife Paula of Trumbull and Susana Martins of Bridgeport, six cherished grandchildren, Cristian Martins, Madison Tiago, Alexa and Dylan Moutinho, Domingos Martins, Jr. and Jason Martins as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd, Bridgeport on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
