Obituary of Jeannette T. Bertoldi

Resident of Shelton Jeannette T. Piccola Bertoldi, age 85, of Shelton, beloved wife of Alfred R. Bertoldi died peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Yonkers, NY on February 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine Postighone Piccola. She was a secretary for the City of Yonkers, Board of Education. Mrs. Bertoldi was a juried award winning artist who was very talented working with watercolors. She also enjoyed quilting. While living in Yonkers, she was proud to have coached the St. John the Baptist cheerleading team to a championship. In addition to her beloved husband of 62 years Alfred, survivors include two loving daughters, Jeannette Davidson and her husband James of Trumbull and Catherine Gibb and her husband James of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, three grandchildren, Kate, James and Nicholas Davidson, a sister Marion Bobby DeMatteo and her husband Armand of Yonkers as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
