Obituary of George Mezzanotte

George Mezzanotte, age 94, of Trumbull, died peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at St. Joseph Manor. Born in New Haven on October 25, 1916, he was a son of the late Giovanni and Josephina DiVito Mezzanotte. George was a retired employee of Robert Shaw Control Co.

Survivors include four loving children, Robert Mezzanotte and Sarah Trenholm of New York, Michael Mezzanotte and his wife Patricia of Clinton, Thomas Mezzanotte and his wife Maria of Fairfield and Richard Mezzanotte and his wife Wendy of Trumbull, seven cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Bianca, Nicholas, Joseph, Mark, Stacey and Melanie, three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

George was pre-deceased by his wife Thelma McDowall Mezzanotte, two brothers, Dan and Frank Mezzanotte and two sisters, Theresa and Pasqualina Mezzanotte. 

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
