Obituary of Frank George Betar
U.S. Army Veteran
Frank George Betar, age 41, rode his Harley into Heaven on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Hartford Hospital, with his loving and devoted fiance, Deborah Roissing, both of Fairfield, holding his hand and heartbroken and dedicated mother, Sharon, both at his side letting him know how much he was loved, cherished and will be sadly missed. Born on May 16, 1972 in Bridgeport he was a son of Sharon Krui Betar Calandro of Shelton and the late George Betar. A U.S. Army veteran, Frank was the owner and operator of Betar Painting. In addition to his mother Sharon and his fiance Debbie, survivors include, his loyal stepfather, Wilbur Varga, uncles and aunts, Michael and Sarah Betar, John and Anne Betar, cousins and great cousins, step brothers, Joseph Jr., Daniel and Nick Calandro and aunts, uncles and cousins from his step fathers family. Although Frank had no siblings he was blessed with an extended loving family including his fiance Debbies mom, Joan, future sister-in-law, Stephanie and her husband Jim, as well as four adoring aunts who traveled as far from Alaska, North Carolina and Massachusetts to visit with him and her aunt and uncle from Stamford who adored him not for the magnetic person that he was but for the happiness and outstanding love they saw he had for their ever so loved Debbie. Frank was taken by a senseless tragedy, no fault of his own, on the way to orientation to begin a new career as a motorcycle mechanic. He and his future bride had plans to begin a new business together. Frank fought valiantly for 76 days with every fiber of his heart and soul to have their dreams come true. He defied all the brilliant surgeons and doctors odds since the first day of the accident. As hard as he fought, new issues would arise. Frank survived over 50 surgeries, but his family in heaven wanted him there. Franks love of animals was unbelievable, as he always said there was always room for one more. His lovable dogs, Blue and Cookie and three cats will stay with his mom. His and Debbies dog, Fred is now Sad Fred Head and will remain with her. Funeral Information
