Richard and I met as teenagers working at Bradlee’s in Shelton. He was a good friend to me. I grew up around the corner from his cousins in Huntington. I wasn’t surprised he bought a house in Huntington. He took me to a few social occasions in our 20’s. I remember when my sister and I came to the rescue as his car broke down on Nichols Avenue. I would occasionally bump into him in Huntington Center or while he was working. I am sending love and prayers to you all

Elizabeth, Benjamin, and Alex, There are no words to express my sincere condolences to you all. I am so very saddened to hear this news. Rich was such a kind and thoughtful soul. I feel honored to share my name with my cousin Richard. He was a great person and I’ll always remember visiting CT as a kid and pestering him repeatedly to throw my brother and I high into the air onto his upstairs bed. We thought he was a superhero. He’ll be greatly missed.
