Obituary of Deborah Lucia Capozzi
Deborah DiVito Capozzi, age 49, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with her loving family by her side. Born on December 12, 1974 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of Filomena Celini DiVito of Trumbull and the late Elio A. DiVito.
A graduate of Sacred Heart University, Debbie went on to earn her master's degree from Capella University and was employed by Lockheed Martin as the Human Resources Benefit Coordinator.
She enjoyed all music, playing the piano; enjoyed cooking for her family and made sure everyone ate healthy and enjoyed physical fitness workouts. A determined person, there wasn't a DIY project that she couldn't do.
Debbie had so many wonderful qualities including her kindness, strength and unwavering support. She was selfless, compassionate, and always gave of herself. But above all she was a dedicated and loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children. She provided nothing but the best for them. The unconditional love she gave and the memories they created will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her loving mother Filomena, survivors include her two cherished and adored children, Richard "Ricky" Capozzi and Alyssa Capozzi, a brother, Daniel DiVito and his wife Melissa, a sister, Adele DiVito, nieces and nephews, Alessandro, Sabrina, Cristiano and Gemma, her best friend, who was another sister to Debbie, Laura DeOliveira Moreno, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. She also leaves her loyal canine companion Penny.
