My wife Arlene and I started spending winters in Florida more than a decade ago. It was thus our great good fortune to meet Ida, Ralph, and their terrific family while in Florida. From the beginning, it was clear that Ida was one of life’s wonderful people. She brought great aplomb, wisdom, and humor to all she did. She inspired all around her and made the world a better place. Arlene and I are very fortunate to consider Ida a dear friend. We are of course greatly saddened that Ida is no longer with us. But as always, her courage and strength during difficult days was an inspiration to us. We will take comfort in the realization that Ralph will now be reunited with his beloved Ida.
